Online Bill Payment

  • Parkland Light & Water Company is going green.  Well not totally green but certainly greener. Beginning this fall Parkland Light & Water Company will be offering ‘On-line Bill Pay’ and ‘Electronic Billing’.  You will be able to pay your water or electric bill by using a credit and/or debit card or you could even pay by check using our new features.  You can sign up and select to do this just once or select to have it done automatically every month and you select the date, it’s up to you. You can also view your bill on-line and even see past history. Additionally you can sign up to have your bill emailed to your account every month and bypass the postal system altogether.

    Talk about green and saving the trees, by signing up you will eliminate: A. a paper bill being sent to you, B. the postage to get it there, C. the paper for paying by credit card, D. paper associated with a remittance check, E. the envelope and postage for the return payment and F. you don’t have to use that crude oil to drive to the office. You can almost feel the air getting cleaner as I type.

    What else you ask? Well you can pay your bill any hour of the day from the quiet of your home.  You don’t have to worry if the office is open or wait for office personnel to answer your call and then wait while they process your payment.  You don’t have to worry if the payment is lost or gets there on time. We want to be a worry free zone when it comes to your payment.

    So what is the cost? This service will be free to our customers. It will take you a little bit of time to go onto the Parkland Light & Water Company web site (www.plw.coop) and sign up, but after that you will have easy access to your account day or night.  I would suggest you go to the web site prior to our kick off and list it as one of your favorites. You should take the time to browse around the web site just to get familiar with it and view the good information about YOUR cooperative.  When we finally do kick off our on-line system you will see right on the front page an icon (Pay My Bill) that will take you directly to the on-line billing and payment site.  It is as easy as that.

    For those of us that are more hi-tech adverse, rest assured we will still send you a bill but now it will be in an envelope and the bill will have a lot of useful information on it, such as your water and electric consumption over a three to twelve month period.  This will help you manage your consumption and maybe encourage some conservation or help you spot a leak. We will also still provide auto-pay, both checking and credit card.  We will have something for everyone.
